 Hope and Sunrise are on the Kenai Peninsula in Alaska,  approximately 70 miles south of Anchorage.

 Population on the Kenai Peninsula is approximately 50,000 increasing to 150,000 or more during the summer tourist season.

Hope and Sunrise have approximately 200 residents year round between them.

LOCATION

Our area is beautiful and we appreciate being able to live here. We know you enjoy visiting, fishing, mining and camping in our towns and woods. Please be aware our fire hazard is extremely high. One careless match, cigarette butt or campfire could destroy homes of over 200 people and thousands of acres.

Fireworks are illegal in the area. Fire Department members patrol for violators of the fireworks law.
